ASC Hub Contact officer

Job Introduction

The pay range for this role will be £30,024 – £33,143 (pro rata for part time colleagues)

We’re looking forward to welcoming new colleagues under this refreshed framework of pay, terms, and conditions. To promote fairness and consistency, all new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band. This reflects our commitment to equity across the organisation and aligns with the approach taken with existing staff during the transition. While the starting salary is fixed, the role offers excellent scope for growth, meaningful contribution, and being part of a forward-thinking team.

You can also find out more about the new terms and conditions that we are introducing on our careers site on, 'More than just a job' brochure ]

Contact Officer – ASC Hub (Adult Social Care)

Do you have the enthusiasm, drive and commitment to assist with the on-going transformation of ASC Hub to deliver a new and consistent BCP-wide model, and support the ongoing development of a strengths-based practice approach?

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of adults and their carers across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole?

An exciting opportunity have arisen to join our busy team within the ASC Hub, where Adult Social Care queries and referrals are received and processed, usually via telephone and email.

Our vision is:

The ASC Hub is here for you when you or someone you know needs advice, information or support about how to get along day-to-day with a disability, illness or long-term condition

We listen carefully to understand what matters most to you, help you through life’s events and difficulties, and find solutions so you can live as independently as possible; stay connected to your community; and keep in touch with family and friends.

You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills, advocating for adults to assist them in achieving their outcomes, develop confidence to have ‘strengths-based’ conversations, including signposting, providing information and advice as well as referring to appropriate Adult Social Care Services

As such, this represents an ideal opportunity for a creative and confident person, with an interest in early intervention.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, be confident using telephone and computer recording systems, and have a flexible approach towards agile and home working. If you are passionately committed to providing excellent services in this field, we look forward to receiving your application.
