BCP Council is looking for a highly motivated, flexible and hardworking individual to join the Pier Amusements team as a Senior General Assistant.
We want to hear from professionals who have experience working within a Leisure Attraction setting.
They must be able to demonstrate exceptional commitment to customer service and have experience of leading a team, have strong communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and be flexible to working to the demands of the role.

The role involves working evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Working directly with the Seafront Arcade Management Team, you would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Arcade floor. Whilst not an exhaustive list, the focus of this role will be related to:
- Responding to customers queries and complaints
- Manage and train the Arcade General Assistants
- Stock management
- Arcade Machine Maintenance - includes assembling large scale machines
- Cash handling - includes refilling change machines and reconciliation of floats
This is a unique opportunity requiring a special individual who enjoys working in a mutually supportive and collaborative team environment but also can work well on their own initiative.
Candidates must have:
- experience of working in a large-scale Family Entertainment Centre (FEC)
- experience of handling customer communications and complaints
- Cash handling experience
- experience of leading and managing a large team
Candidates would ideally have
- Knowledge of the Gambling Act 2005 LLCP
- Experience of Arcade machine maintenance
- Experience of stock control
Please note - this role will involve working in a fast paced environment with music and flashing lights. Heavy lifting is also part of the role.
This role requires a basic DBS check to be carried out.
