Starting salary for this role is £34,434 (pro rata for part-time colleagues)

Internal colleagues are also normally appointed at the bottom of the band, unless moving within the same profession and skill level, where the pay band is the same they can be appointed to the existing pay point.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Auditor (Level I) to join our professional and friendly team. As a key member of this well-regarded function, this is a great opportunity for you to develop your career in internal audit.
Role Purpose
The role is primarily to carry out independent and objective audits in accordance with BCP audit guidelines and professional standards (GIAS) to ensure the adequacy of the internal control, governance arrangements and risk management systems .
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out audit reviews, following defined procedures and processes to identify risk and control weaknesses
- Produce audit reports, based on the on audit reviews carried out
- Conduct research and compile evidence to support senior colleagues in providing assurance relating to fraud and corruption and other financial irregularities
- Provide professional advice and support on corporate projects, tasks and working groups
- Appraise and report on the adequacy of corrective action taken by management to implement audit recommendations
The Ideal Candidate
- CCAB, IIA, AAT or equivalent.
- Experience in internal audit.
- Knowledge of internal audit policies, processes and procedures.
- Ability to communicate and influence a range of internal stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and manage a workload to meet a range of deadlines.
