Skills and Learning is a top performing Adult Community Education (ACE) provider, previously shortlisted for Provider of the Year in the prestigious Times Education awards. Ofsted judge the service as 'Good' overall. Skills & Learning currently offers over 600 courses, across Dorset in over 30 locations.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about people, their communities and the positive impact that learning can have on them. You will join our Business Development and Engagement team. This is a permanent, full time position. The vacancy has arisen due to new project funding.

Your duties will include attending meetings and regular visits to delivery locations and partners both county wide and online. Main Responsibilities

You will be accountable for the outreach activity for an identified programme of courses. The programme will include courses developed for adults in response to projects funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). The role will be home based but with regular weekly travel across Dorset, sometimes to rural areas. Our courses also run during the day, evenings and weekends so there may be times when flexibility around working hours is also required. Please confirm in your application that you can meet these two requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a managerial role and contract/project management skills are essential. You will ensure the courses within the UKSPF funding activity reach the targeted groups of learners, by engaging with communities, new and existing partner organisations and employers. So our ideal candidate will be someone with a background in adult education, who has experience in managing teams and can get projects underway efficiently and see them through to the end successfully.
Ideally you will have a project management qualification or experience but this is not essential.
