Business Support Officer

Job Introduction


From 1 December 2025, our refreshed Pay and Reward package comes into effect, bringing a new approach to how we recognise and reward roles across the Council. This means the salary for this role will be changing. The pay range for this role will be £27,254 – £29,540 (pro rata for part time colleagues) from 1 December 2025.

Business Support Officers

 BCP Council is hiring Business Support Officers for multiple vacancies across Children’s Social Care and Adults Social Care.


As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in providing administrative support to social care teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of services for children and adults. This includes managing data, preparing reports, handling communication, and assisting in casework administration.

 
Key Responsibilities:

Provide efficient and effective administrative support to social care teams

- Assist in managing case records and data systems

- Prepare reports, letters, and other documentation

- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and resources

- Support senior staff with operational and strategic tasks

 

We are looking for candidates who:

Have excellent organisational and communication skills

- Are comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information

- Have a positive, proactive approach to work

- Are adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Experience in an administrative or support role is preferred but not essential
