We have a great opportunity for you to join the team at Avon View as a Care Assistant.

Located just outside Christchurch, Avon View is a residential home that provides nursing, palliative, residential, and dementia care across three floors. We support people with a range of complex needs providing compassionate, person-centred care.

As a Care Assistant, you’ll be supporting people in a way that helps them feel safe, comfortable and respected - making sure their wellbeing, comfort and dignity always come first.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting our clients with personal care, eating and drinking, and supporting them with moving (including the use of hoists). 
  • Treating our clients with dignity and respect, making sure they feel comfortable and safe.
  • Following Health and Safety guidance, especially around moving and handling and using protective equipment.
  • Keeping online records about the support you’ve given.

What we’re looking for: 

  • The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Empathy with the needs of the clients.
  • IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care or willingness to achieve this.

36 hours per week

We operate services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, ranging from Residential Homes, Day Services, Supported Living sites and Reablement Home Care.
