Catering Assistant

Required November / December 2025

 

Location: Poole, Dorset

Starting Salary: Full time Equivalent £24,203 / Actual pro rata £16,707 to £18,099 per annum depending on working hours as several options available.

Hours: Part time – 30, 31.25, or 32.50 hours per week flexible options with start time of 6.45am or 7am and finishing time of 1.30pm or 2pm. 

Working days: Monday – Friday.  

Contract: Permanent, term time only plus training days

 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to join the team delivering Cornerstone’s catering function for students and staff.   

 

Main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Meal preparation including cooking and baking
  • Washing up and cleaning of kitchen and dining areas
  • General kitchen duties    

 

About you, the ideal will have:

 

  • Experience of food preparation 
  • A patient, calm and approachable manner
  • A flexible approach to meet the needs of the school

 

Previous experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

 

Closing date: Monday 20th October – noon 

Interviews will be held Thursday 23rd October
