If so, BCP Council has a great opportunity to join our newly transformed Talent and Workforce Development Service as the Children’s and Adults Workforce Development Manager. This is your opportunity to make a real difference, working alongside our dedicated Workforce Development teams to create and deliver innovative learning and development strategies that enhance skills at all levels using a strengths-based practice model. 

In this pivotal role, you will participate in developing a comprehensive workforce strategy and plan. This will involve identifying key areas of focus, setting objectives, and outlining the steps needed to achieve our goals. Your strategic input will help shape the future of our workforce, that enables them to be agile, adaptive and better equipped with informational and transformational learning resources to achieve critical outcomes, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our community effectively.

A key part of your role will be to champion Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. You will ensure that these principles are embedded in our workforce strategy and practices, fostering an environment where all staff feel valued and respected, and where diversity is celebrated

As a Children’s and Adults Workforce Development Manager, you will work collaboratively with staff to ensure their learning needs are met, drawing on your significant experience of working in an organisation committed to building and maintaining a learning culture.

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which is to be applicable for all employees. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We are in the process of establishing a timescale for implementation and colleagues joining us will be included in these changes. Expected to be in place 2024 or early 2025.
