CLEANING SUPERVISOR
Salary Grade A (Point 2) £24,404 pro-rata. Actual Salary: £7,336.56 per annum.
12.5 hours per week 3 pm – 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Term time plus Inset days plus 30 hours to be worked in school closure periods.
Permanent. Start date as soon as possible.
The TEACH Poole Multi Academy Trust was formed in April 2015. All four of our wonderful schools are graded as good or outstanding by Ofsted. We are extremely popular, over-subscribed, forward-thinking schools with supportive staff and fantastic children.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school, under the direction of the Headteacher.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the cleaning team to ensure all areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard.
- Perform regular cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, hoovering, polishing floors, and sanitising surfaces.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies.
- Coordinate and participate in deep cleaning tasks during school holidays, ensuring thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, toilets, and other facilities.
- Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used effectively and are well-maintained.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Headteacher.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a school or similar environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during school holidays for deep cleaning.
