Community Engagement Officer

Job Introduction

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Community Engagement Officer to join our team at BCP Homes. In this role, you will engage with BCP Homes residents (tenants and leaseholders) and their neighbouring properties to support their needs, inform BCP Homes services, and involve the community voice in the Council’s decision-making process.

Main Responsibilities 

The Community Engagement Officer will establish and maintain links with BCP Homes residents, partners, and community groups to foster partnerships and promote engagement opportunities. They will produce communications and marketing materials to raise awareness of BCP Homes services and encourage resident involvement in decision-making. The role involves supporting local residents in joint projects, ensuring they feel informed and heard. The officer will analyse engagement data to provide insights for evidence-based decisions, develop action plans and policies with various agencies, and participate in programme evaluation. Additionally, they will provide team support as needed, ensuring effective programme delivery and compliance with guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be hard working and conscientious with great communication skills.  They must also be able to deal with conflicting priorities and enjoy working as part of a team.
