Early Years and Childcare Adviser - 22 hours per week

Job Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Childcare professional to join our 0-5 team based across the BCP conurbation

You will have extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, Ofsted regulations and safeguarding children. The Childcare Adviser role is interesting, varied and rewarding.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and report writing skills. You will possess the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve high quality provision.


As a member of a well established team your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing general advice, support, information and training to a wide variety of childcare group settings, supervised provisions and childminders registered on the Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Registers.
  • Building partnerships with key settings, schools, Family hubs and other agencies within areas of disadvantage, promoting joint working whilst improving outcomes for children.
  • Providing targeted support to new childcare establishments and those judged less than ‘Good’ by Ofsted to drive quality improvement.
  • Carrying out comprehensive safeguarding audits with childcare providers, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements are met at all times.


If you have a relevant minimum level 4 qualification in Early Years or Childcare, extensive knowledge and experience of high quality childcare provision and a clear passion for improving outcomes for children this may be the next great step in your career.
