Job Introduction
The pay range for this role will be £33,699 – £39,152 (pro rata for part time colleagues)

Aspire Regional Adoption Agency delivers adoption services for BCP and Dorset Council's. Hosted by BCP, employees have the benefits of LA terms and conditions. Recruitment and Assessment Team:
The Adoption Recruitment and Assessment Team are responsible for recruiting and assessing prospective adopters to meet the need of our most vulnerable children needing permanence through adoption. The team provides pre and post approval training and workshops to support prospective adopters understand adoption from different perspectives and to give them the tools to be able to support the children in their care. The Recruitment and Assessment team support prospective adopters with the family finding process, guiding them with linking, matching, placement through to Adoption Order. The team also facilitate social events for adoptive families throughout the year, including the summer picnic and Christmas party.
Role Purpose
To proactively engage, recruit and prepare those wanting to become prospective adopters and their families through evidence-based, child-centred support across the recruitment and assessment journey.
Main Responsibilities
- Engage and support prospective adopters throughout the recruitment and assessment process.
- Assist social workers in gathering information in relation to prospective adopters
- Co-facilitate preparation groups and learning sessions for prospective adopters
- Maintain accurate records, keeping detailed and timely records of all contact, interventions and progress.
- Provide flexible support to children and families
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum NVQ level 3 or above in a related field or equivalent experience
- Sound knowledge of child development (0-11years) and/or adolescence.
- Experience in completing observations, written assessments and making evidence based decisions.
- Experience in delivering direct interventions that improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

- Solutions-focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
