SALARY: Grade F12-17 (£26,421-28,770) Actual Salary £19,405- £21,130) (pay award pending)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Support Worker who is ELSA qualified to join our experienced team at Hillbourne Primary School, part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).
We are looking to appoint a dedicated, caring Family Support Worker to support the children and families at Hillbourne Primary School.
HET is a large, fast-paced Trust with currently 35 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 community-based partnerships, there are 32 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school.

JOB/PERSON SUMMARY:
The role will involve:
- Providing support, encouragement and pastoral care to pupils at the school.
- Work with a range of stakeholders, parents, support staff, outreach agencies and other schools to ensure continuity and progress of individual pupils, especially in regard to self esteem.
- Develop and facilitate parenting programmes.
- Promote a home/school liaison service by being available for parents on both a drop-in and appointment basis.
- Work with families with poor school attendance.
- Develop the school’s links to members of the community with regard to helping the school
- To work with individuals or groups of children who are experiencing difficulties with emotional literacy or other aspects of school or home life.
- To develop knowledge of a range of learning and behavioural support needs and to plan, devise and implement appropriate programmes to help develop children’s emotional literacy skills and emotional well-being.
