Job Introduction

Food Technology Technician 

Start date: January 2024

Salary:  Full Time Equivalent £23,305 / Actual pro rata £18,685 

35 hours a week Monday to Friday

8am – 4pm daily (20 minute break/40 minute lunch unpaid)  

39 weeks per year - 38 school weeks, plus training days

We are seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic Food Technician to support teaching staff in delivery to all students. The successful candidate will support food technology and undertake technical support duties within school. The post would be of interest to a creative and flexible person. We are looking for an experienced individual who possesses effective communication skills and knowledge and understanding of working in this environment.

The successful candidate must be:

  • Organised and proactive
  • A good team player but also able to work autonomously
  • Resilient with ability to multitask 
  • Passionate about securing the best learning opportunities for our students
