We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Hairdressing tutor to commence teaching in September 2025. As part of a team you will deliver a programme of courses from short specialist courses through to Level 2 & 3 Hairdressing qualifications. This is a permanent salaried role, for either 2, 3 or 4 days a week (by negotiation). This is an exciting role for someone with ambition and vision. You will be doing more than teaching, you will be part of a new team developing the Hair and Barbering provision in Poole, which will include quality assurance and raising the profile of what we offer.
We have a state of the art salon in our Learning Centre in Poole where most of the courses will be delivered but there will also be the opportunity to deliver short one off workshops and contribute to events in other areas of the county.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 Hairdressing qualification
- Certificate in Education and Training/PGCE/DTLLS or equivalent generic teaching qualification
- English and maths qualifications at grade 4/C or above
- At least 3 years' industry experience
- Digitally literate
Desirable:
- Barbering qualification or experience
- Internal Verification qualification
