Job Introduction
A great opportunity has arisen in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) area for an IRO Manager. The IRO service holds a significant role in driving forward change and ensuring positive outcomes for our children and young people. This is an exciting time to be joining BCP as we are on an improvement journey, and you will be at the forefront of driving change and leading the IRO team to strengthen their role in the lives of our children.
You will be an experienced manager who will manage Child Protection chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers, ensuring quality and accountability through regular oversight, management support and development of each IRO and CP chair. You will have the outcomes for children at the heart of everything you do and continue to take our journey forward in listening to children’s voices and ensuring that their participation is considered at every opportunity.
You will be competent in report writing and analysing data and will use performance data to focus on areas of improvement. You will have excellent organisations skills alongside the capacity to meet demanding targets.
You will have a Social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. You should have post qualifying experience in managing social work teams and a sound, up to date knowledge of relevant legislation.
You will be part of a management team where you will receive regular support and development opportunities. You will have access to good training and career development.
