Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity Advanced Dynamic Resource Scheduler (DRS) IT Specialist. The DRS IT Specialist will support our IT scheduling system Advanced DRS, an appointing system for an internal workforce of 200 trade operatives and integrates with the NEC housing system.
You will be working for BBML, a wholly owned subsidiary of BCP Council. BBML (Bournemouth Building and Maintenance Ltd) provides professional maintenance and construction services within the local BCP area, undertaking planned and responsive maintenance for BCP Council owned housing stock and corporate properties. In addition, we have several private clients through existing frameworks and bespoke, one-off contracts.
This is a great opportunity for someone to support our IT scheduling system Advanced DRS. It helps support an appointing system for an internal workforce of 200 trade operatives and integrates with the NEC housing system. Whilst it’s an IT role and will involve helping support developments to the system, it is more about configuration and application support and to enable the efficient mobile deployment of work for an operational workforce. This post is will be replacing someone who is moving to another role in December 2026.
The focus for us it is about finding the right person rather than someone having past experience and there will be time for the successful candidate to learn from the current post holder before they move. This is a really exciting time for IT within BCP Council with lots of development taking place and developments within data, Power BI and Microsoft 365 use. All the applications involved are in great demand within the industry and the skills learned will set you up in very good stead for your future career. The role is embedded in an operational applications, data and analytics team within BCP Housing, supporting the wider operational team.
