Heathlands Primary Academy & Pre‑School is a warm, vibrant one‑form entry school at the heart of the West Howe community. We educate around 180 children from Reception to Year 6, alongside our on‑site Preschool for 3‑ and 4‑year‑olds as part of our Early Years base.
Our community faces social and economic challenges, with a high proportion of pupils eligible for pupil premium and a substantial number with SEND needs. We see this not as a barrier, but as a reason to work even harder—and we are deeply committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background or need, receives the very best education possible. Specialist Teacher Opportunity
If you are an experienced practitioner, you may choose to apply as a Specialist Teacher.
In this enhanced role, you will:
- Lead improvements in teaching, learning and pedagogy within your subject specialism
- Support colleagues both within Heathlands and across other CLP schools
- Contribute to trust‑wide professional development and training
- Drive improvements in pupil outcomes across multiple settings
This role is an excellent stepping stone for colleagues aspiring to leadership or school improvement roles. It provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond your own classroom and develop towards our Leading Teacher Programme or middle leadership.
