ROLE: Level 2 Teaching Assistants/SEND Teaching Assistants
SCHOOL: Hamworthy Primary Schools (Twin Sails Infant School & Nursery and Hamworthy Park Junior School)
HOURS: Full-Time & Part-Time hours available.
Minimum Part-Time hours – 8.30am to 12pm, Monday to Friday (17.5 hours per week).
Full-Time hours - 8.30 am – 3.00 pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday (30 hours per week).
38 weeks per year (Term Time only)
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent & Fixed-Term (until 31/08/2025) contracts available.
SALARY: Grade D (Spinal Point 5 – 6) £23,500 - £23,893 pro rata.
Actual Salary: from £9,293.34 - £15,931.44 (Pay award pending – April 2024).
Hourly Rate: £12.18 - £12.38
CLOSING DATE: Midday on Thursday 19th September.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant or a Teaching Assistant with a keen interest in SEND to join our experienced and dedicated team.

Twin Sails Infant School & Nursery and Hamworthy Park Junior School are part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).
HET is a large, fast-paced Trust with currently 35 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 community-based partnerships, there are 32 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school
We are seeking to recruit highly motivated and experienced individuals to work as a Teaching Assistants, initially with our Key Stage 1 pupils. There is potential for the job role to include providing support for pupils with SEND, so experience in this area or a passion for this would be desirable. JOB/PERSON SUMMARY:
We require two Teaching Assistants to work within our Federation (Twin Sails Infant School & Nursery and Hamworthy Park Junior School).

· Will work effectively alongside & under the direction of, the Class teacher, SENCO/ Inclusion Leader & SLT
· Has experience of working with young children and is up for a new challenge
· Has a positive, caring manner, with high aspirations for the achievements of all pupils
· Can provide high quality support for pupils
· Is committed to an inclusive education
· Enjoys contributing to a supportive, dynamic team.
· Ideally has experience in SEND education or a keen interest in developing this.
