Role Purpose
Little Explorers Day Nursery is a full day care nursery in Christchurch, seeking an applicant wishing to complete their Level 3 Apprenticeship in Childcare.
The nursery provides care and education for children aged from 3 months to 4 years. We are open from 8-6pm 5 days a week for 50 weeks a year.
We are a busy and diverse nursery offering childcare to our local community. We have designated rooms, a sensory room and large gardens offering lots of opportunities for the successful candidate to develop a very well rounded start to understanding child development and a very rewarding career.
Main Responsibilities
We are seeking a candidate who is willing to embrace nursery life, while completing a full and recognized Level 3 qualification in childcare.
You will work with a collaborative team of colleagues to support the nursery in providing a fun and enabling environment whereby children can, play, learn and reach their full potential in both the indoor and outdoor environments.
You will have allocated study time to work with a tutor and mentor to develop an understanding of theory of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), while balancing this against practical support and guidance throughout the apprenticeship.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive approach to learning within the work place, be a team player, be organised and be willing to support all aspects of nursery life. The successful candidate will comply with all policies and guidance.
