Management Information Analyst
We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council Children’s Services for a full-time Management Information Analyst to work in our Children’s Social Care Performance & Intelligence Team reporting to the Children’s Social Care Performance Manager.
You will support a busy Children’s Social Care performance team with statutory and operational requirements, Ofsted inspections, and BCP Council’s ongoing transformation journey. In particular, you will be the lead analyst working with internal and external colleagues to build and maintain the delivery of a daily upload to the DfE as part of the Children’s Social Care Private Dashboard pilot scheme, which will support improved outcomes for children and families through learning from data in a shared secure platform.
Key Outputs from this role include:
- Lead on Children’s Social Care (CSC) Private Dashboard Early Adopters Scheme
- Develop Power BI reports and in-depth analysis in line with the service forward plan and as required.
- Support with FOIs.
- Support with statutory returns.
- Support with regular monthly and quarterly reports such as South-West Benchmarking or Safeguarding Children Partnership as required.
- Work proactively and in collaboration with the business as well as system support to ensure maximum data accuracy in source data to increase accuracy and reliability of the data held within the Children’s Services Case Management Systems (Mosaic).
- Support Performance Manager and Head of Service with data requirements, knowing where to get relevant data and how to extract it.
- Support in forthcoming OFSTED inspections as and when required.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is confident working using their own initiative as well as a part of a team. You will have excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills including experience with Power BI. You are able to analyse complex data and visualise this in accessible reports. Knowledge of SQL will be an advantage. You will enjoy working at a fast pace, love change and work well under pressure.
The post is a fixed term contract for 2 years, working hours are 37hrs per week, with the expectation that some of this time will be spent working in the office.
