Job Introduction

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for managing the placements for children in care within BCP - your decisions will make a difference to the lives of young people


Main Responsibilities

This is a unique and rare opportunity apply for the post of Placements Manager within Children’s Commissioning, Placements & Resources Team. 

 

The role will be demanding but rewarding for the right individual, it is varied and will involve commissioning a range of accommodation and care services for children in care and care experienced young people aged 0 – 25 yrs old. An innovative and creative approach is required to ensure all services identify efficiencies, are of a high standard and achieve best value in order that BCP children and families are receiving the best services possible.

 

This role involves working closely with multi agency partners across Children Services (social care and education), Health and external Providers.  Other responsibilities will include developing and managing the provider market, taking the lead for building relationships, management reporting and quality assuring service provision.  The post holder will be part of the management team and have line management responsibility for several staff.
