Project Support/ HR Adviser

Job Introduction

The Council is reviewing its pay and reward package with the objective of introducing a single set of term and conditions for all staff and establishing BCP Council as a modern employer of choice in the market.

The project is focusing on two key workstreams:

  • Implementation of a new pay structure through the systematic review, redesign and evaluation of all BCP roles

 

  • Implementation of a single set of terms & conditions following consultation and negotiation with Trade Unions

 

At this exciting time of organisational change, we are looking for someone who has excellent organisational skills to join our project team and help deliver this fast-paced and complex piece of work. You will ideally have a good understanding of the Council’s structures and be able to analyse data and present findings in a confident and meaningful way. You must have excellent skills in all Microsoft Office applications and have a flexible and proactive attitude to a range of tasks that support the project.  Strong communication skills are vital as you will be required to interact with all levels of the workforce. A good understanding of employment law would be an advantage.

 

This part-time (30 hours) post is available as a fixed-term contract until April 2025 and will provide invaluable support to the delivery of our massive and complex project

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which is to be applicable for all employees. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We are in the process of establishing a timescale for implementation and colleagues joining us will be included in these changes. This is expected to be in place in 2024.
