The role:
We have an excellent opportunity to join our dedicated and supportive team as a Residential Support Worker.
April Court is a residential home that provides care and support for adults with learning disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our dedicated, friendly, innovative, and welcoming team.
As a Residential Support Worker you will be working directly with our residents to support them in all aspects of their daily lives, personal care, accessing and engaging with the community, maintaining effective personal relationships, following personal plans and assessments. Hours are part time, and you will be required to work during the week, weekends, evenings and bank holidays as part of a fixed four-week repeating rota.
Your main responsibilities:
- Providing care and support that promotes client choice and independence.
- Undertaking personal care duties as required including manual handling.
- Working to required standards to comply with CQC guidelines.
- Maintaining dignity, privacy and respect for our clients.
- The ability to work flexibly across the week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
You should have:
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 Certificate or be prepared to work towards a qualification.
- Knowledge and awareness of Care Act 2014 and Safeguarding legislation.
- A working knowledge of CQC standards and the single assessment framework.
- An understanding of health and safety requirements.
Part-time – 26 hours per week
