Position One: Hours: 31.25 [Term time, 39 working weeks, 0830-1515 daily]

Position Two: Hours: 18.75 (Term time, 39 working weeks, 08.45-1230 daily)

Salary: Grade D SCP 5-6 (£25,583-£25,989 FTE) pro rata

Starting 2nd November 2026, Fixed term until 31 August 2029 reviewed annually.

Old Town Infant School and Nursery is a small but mighty infant school, in the heart of Poole town centre. We have a busy, thriving and positive atmosphere with impressive facilities and resources.

We are seeking to appoint two SEND Teaching Assistants (level 2) to work on a 1:1 basis with children currently in our Reception year group.

Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, responsible person with a passion for SEND, who enjoys working with children. They should have good inter-personal skills and a desire to support pupils to progress with their learning. The post holder must have English and Maths GCSE grade C or above and an NVQ level 2 qualification for teaching assistants or equivalent.
