Job Introduction

The pay range for this role will be £30,024 - £33,143 (pro rata for part time colleagues)

Our Seafront Service is responsible for the management and development of our beautiful world-renowned coastline, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, effective and committed officer to join our Seafront Operations Team.

 

Working directly with the Seafront Senior Rangers, you would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of seafront facilities and services. Whilst not an exhaustive list, the focus of this role will be related to:

  • Management of seasonal staff 
  • Beach Offices & Public Toilets
  • Health & Safety 
  • Commercial Services (Land Trains, Lifts, Piers, Mini-Golf, Furniture, etc). 

 

This is a unique opportunity requiring a special individual who enjoys working in a mutually supportive and collaborative team environment but also can work well on their own initiative.

 

Ideally you will have:

  • a degree in a relevant subject or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in the management of a complex service within a large organisation
  • experience of working in a large-scale seasonal visitor attractions or similar environments, leading large teams of staff and handling customer communications and complaints  
  • experience of managing Health and Safety, projects, procurement exercises and budgets


Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence

You must have a positive and flexible outlook, be highly motivated, can learn quickly with a desire to develop, and are passionate about delivering excellent services.

The role is mainly outside with some office-based work but there is an expectation of high operational visibility.


This role requires a basic DBS check to be carried out. 


Interviews will be held on Wednesday 01 October 2025 at BCP Council Civic Offices, Bournemouth BH2 6DY.   Interviews will be in person only.
