Dolphin Leisure Centre
Our membership base is strong and drives our passion for development and continual improvement of the service. The leisure centre offers over 60 fitness classes each week, modern and well-maintained fitness suites, a range of pool based activities and children specific activities.
Role Purpose
To have operational management responsibility for the specific facility or facilities that are managed by the BCP Leisure team on any one date. To be a lead officer for the development of an excellent customer and administration service to support the smooth running of the leisure services and facilities managed by the Council.
Main Responsibilities
1. Manage, develop and deliver the effective operation of customer services and administration.
2. Manage the effective operation of catering services.
3. Operation and development of ICT systems and applications relating to the Leisure Complex under the guidance of the Council’s ICT Team and external contractors.
4. Management of day-to-day financial procedures in line with the financial regulations of the Council.
5. Provision of personnel support to the Leisure Complex Team under the guidance of the Council’s HR Team.
6. Lead and manage a team of Customer Service and Administration Officers and Swimming Lessons
7. To act as a Duty Office
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would have experience in working in the leisure industry; ideally in a similar capacity and with good understanding of the challenges and requirements of managing a busy and dynamic leisure facility. They would have excellent problem solving skills, be flexible, adaptable and approachable. They would be able to deal with customer comments or enquiries in a professional way.
The candidate would have excellent understanding of Health and Safety and be able to apply the knowledge in the leisure setting, NPLQ Qualified and PPO Qualified.
This role is required throughout the year so would not be available as a 'term time only' option.
The job role requires shift work to cover all operational hours of the facility, we are looking for individuals who can join our team of Duty Officers to cover during absences or to assist with additional workloads.
Hours of operational are: Monday to Friday 06:30-21:30, Saturday 6:30-17:00 and Sunday 8:00-17:00
