1 x Fixed term for 12 months, 1 x Fixed term until 31/03/25


The council is on a major multi-year transformation programme which will result in an entirely new operating model, ensuring the organisation is well placed to deliver ambitious outcomes for its residents and stakeholders.

The transformation programme is underpinned by the introduction of organisation wide technology solutions and capitalises on the value of data and insight, to enable us to become a more modern, accessible, accountable council. 

We are seeking 2 Senior HR Advisors to provide professional guidance on complex service transformation such as organisational change, TUPE, redundancy, restructures and early retirements to ensure cases are handled effectively and compliantly. 

The successful applicants will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • CIPD qualified 
  • Experience of change/restructuring and TUPE
  • Experience of specialist employee relations   
  • Experience of a unionised environment  
  • In depth knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory policies 
  • In depth knowledge of HR policies and processes 
  • Ability to persuade, influence and change behaviour through coaching and development
  • Ability to plan and manage own workload
  • Ability to mediate difficult situations

Nb. We are looking for 37 hours per week for the 12-month FTC, and between 30 – 37 hours per week for the FTC to 31/03/25.
