Job Introduction
The pay range for this role will be £42,839– £49,282 (pro rata for part time colleagues)

Role Purpose
To take a lead role in procurement projects and contract management for complex goods, services, works, and concessions; whilst ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Legislation, Council governance, and regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead procurement projects and contract management for complex goods, services, works, and concessions.
- Ensure compliance with Public Procurement Legislation, Council governance, and regulations.
- Support Strategic Procurement Manager within defined category areas to deliver value for money.
- Manage procurement and contract management for Resources category including IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Revenues & Benefits, Soft FM, Marketing & Communications, Seafront Services & Events.
- Develop procurement strategies, documentation, and lead negotiations with providers.
- Monitor strategic contracts, implement contract management procedures, and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Provide coaching and specialist advice to officers on category issues and risk management.

The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in procurement environment including tender preparation and E-Tendering.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Understanding of procurement and contract management best practice and offer strong commercial awareness.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in M365 (Power BI), Teams, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.
- Ability to plan and manage complex workloads and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders
- Ability to analyse data and present clear recommendations
