Maternity cover role - Fixed term contract

BCP Council’s Legal Services comprises of 5 teams – Litigation, Planning and Property, Children’s Social Care, Adult Social Care and Commercial.

 

We are seeking a Solicitor  to join our well-respected Children’s Social Care Team. This team proactively responds to the needs of our young residents and supports hard-working social work colleagues. 

 

We are looking for someone who is able to manage a busy caseload, and carry out advocacy and has an ability to be flexible when an emergency arises. 

 

If you are committed to public service and an effective team member and are pro-active, professional, resilient and are detail orientated,  then you have the qualities we are looking for to join our busy, professional, and friendly Legal Services Team.

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which is to be applicable for all employees. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We are in the process of establishing a timescale for implementation and colleagues joining us will be included in these changes. This is expected to be in place in 2024 or early 2025.
