Role Purpose

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Commissioning Manager with a focus on Homecare and Reablement to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will have the chance to shape the future of care services, working collaboratively with key partners to deliver high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing.
This role is fixed term for 2 years
Main Responsibilities
- Complete develop and deliver a strategy for the provision of home care, including market analysis, comprehensive procurement planning, risk stratification, communications and coproduction.
- Align home care provision with adult social care processes and system wide regulated and non-regulated services
- Strategically review the model and criteria for home care in the future, in the context of alternative provision and financial sustainability
- Deliver the procurement of a new home care framework
- Deliver a high-quality home care service that appropriately supports people with long term care needs in a financially sustainable way
- Lead the transformation and performance improvement of reablement services
- Contribute to the development of a strategic vision and model for hospital discharge and intermediate care services
- Provide effective oversight and coordination to drive service improvement and ensure the commissioning programme delivers on time and within budget.
- Represent the service unit and BCP Council in multi-agency forums and working parties
- Ensure effective budget monitoring and compliance with relevant Care Act requirements and BCP Council standards
The Ideal Candidate
- Significant experience in adult social care commissioning, ideally with expertise in homecare and reablement
- Possession of a high level of resilience, advocacy, persuasion, and emotional intelligence.
- Extensive knowledge of current relevant legislation, statutory duties, and best practices in the commissioning and contracting of adult services.
- Experience of developing service user and stakeholder involvement in the commissioning and delivery of services to implement and deliver strategic service outcomes
