Job Introduction

Term time, 38 weeks (not including inset days)

32.5 hours, Monday-Friday: 8:30am-15:30pm

Grade D SCP 5-6 £23,500 - £23,893 FTE 

Actual Salary: £17,224 - £18,023 per annum, pro rata

Starting ASAP, Fixed Term

Baden-Powell & St. Peter’s Junior School is an over-subscribed school which enjoys a hugely positive reputation within the community that it serves. The school is seeking to appoint a general Teaching Assistant (level 2); this position includes working 1-1 with named children with specific additional needs. This position is fixed term until the child leaves the school either through gaining a space at a specialist setting or until 31st August 2027; this can be discussed at interview. 

We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to motivate and encourage children; who is enthusiastic, responsible and enjoys working with children. They should have good inter-personal skills and a desire to support children to progress with their learning, promote high standards of behaviour and believe that all children can succeed. The post holder must have English and Maths GCSE grade C or above and an NVQ level 2 qualification for teaching assistants or equivalent.
