Due to our expanding service, we have multiple exciting opportunities to join BCP’s Lifeline Control Centre in the role of Telecare & Out of Hours Operator. Lifeline provides a wide range of services across BCP and wider areas 24/7/365.
The 24hr Control Centre is a multi-functional environment providing various services including alarm calls handling for the Telecare service and general calls handling for all council services out of hours.
Operators also provide a mobile response service to some of our Telecare clients, involving staff going out to client’s homes to assist when there is an emergency. This service includes ‘assisted lifting’ for non-injured fallers using specialised equipment.
Applicants should be able to work under pressure, have excellent communication skills and a focus on customer care. You will need to have a flexible approach to working patterns and will be required to work a variety of shifts covering the 24/7 service.
The work is challenging with lots of variety, no day is the same. If you like to get to the end of your working day knowing you have made a difference, then this could be the job you are looking for and we would love to hear from you.
