An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the BCP outdoor events team as an Events Co-ordinator
This role will work on the facilitation of events on BCP Council land across the three towns whilst also assisting in the operational delivery of the many events and festivals organised by the Council such as Poole Quay Summer Fireworks and the Bournemouth Air Festival.
The role includes a mix of office working along with operational delivery and includes evening and weekend working. The ideal candidate for this busy department will be a team player who is highly motivated and a great communicator. The ability to multi task and have good attention to detail is required along with a background in events with an understanding of the health and safety and logistical planning involved.
The role is based on a 37 hour working week to include some evening and weekend working especially across the summer season and this is done on a rota basis.
As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which all of our employees will move on to. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We’re hoping to implement these changes in early 2022 and all colleagues joining us will be included in these changes.
