Fixed Term Contract for up to 12 months

The CEO of BCP has created an exciting opportunity for Head of CEO's Office, reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for leading, influencing and coordinating several important opportunities and projects that will assist in creating our future organisation. As you know, BCP currently has a unique opportunity to create an iconic 21st century digital city-region by the sea.

By creating a new exemplar council, efficient and modern it will help us to reduce the impact of savings and also to create a new vision for the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area, enabling us to participate in the national and regional agendas with more confidence and more influence.

We need to be ambitious, inspired, creative, thriving and prosperous and to achieve this we need to define what that looks like and what it means for our services and our communities

The Chief Executive, Corporate Directors and Directors collectively provide the strategic capacity to drive those agendas forward and to provide the council with the strategic intelligence to maximise the opportunity for the benefit of our residents, our businesses, our communities and our environment.

Successful applicants will need to consider how they can demonstrate their ability to participate in strategic discussions and contribute to the development of the overall strategy for the council. Give evidence of how they can take a strategic leadership role, building a strong and visible presence within a service as well as leading and supporting initiatives or projects to facilitate transformational change, drive and sustain performance.

The expectations for delivery at all leadership levels are high and with the opportunity to transform there will be times of inevitable challenge and pressure.

This vacancy is being advertised internally to current employees of BCP Council.
