4 x Casual Ceremony Officers

Working across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch, we require 4 Registration Officers to undertake statutory duties with regard to Registration of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships.

The main role will be conducting marriage and civil partnership ceremonies, on a rota basis, and you will be required to work on Saturdays/Sundays and Bank Holidays at particularly busy times of the year.

Working 3 out of 4 Saturdays during the busy period of April - September.

2 successful candidates will be covering Christchurch ceremonies, 1 Bournemouth and 1 Poole, with the potential to work across all 3 offices.

The job also has the potential to be trained to cover for officers completing Births, Deaths and Marriage registrations during the week, which will be on an ad-hoc basis.  You may be required to work full weeks, or single days.

You will be educated to A level standard or equivalent, have a recognised qualification in NVQ customer care or equivalent and experience or knowledge of registration processes and legal requirements. A strong commitment to customer care, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are central to the role.
