A Personal Assistant/Support Worker is required to assist with a variety of tasks that will support our client to live an independent personal and social life. Our client lives with his Mum and sister and attends college full time

Location: BH15 ~ Hamworthy,Poole

Hours:  5 per week at weekends plus an additional 25 hours during college holidays

About the role:

The successful candidate will be providing support for  a young male adult who has autism spectrum disorder and complex learning disabilities

The main duties will be to assist with going out into the community, prompting and reassuring whilst out and support taking part in social activities, thus enabling him to retain his independence.

The person required will be expected to:

  • Hold a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
  • Have experience of working with people with autism is desirable but this is not essential
  • Be patient and understanding, and have a friendly and supportive attitude

The hours during the college holidays can be negotiated
