This role sits within a well defined pay band, offering clear progression as you grow your career at BCP. Without exception all new starters begin at the entry point of the band, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organisation. Internal colleagues are also normally appointed at the bottom of the band, unless moving within the same profession and skill level, where the pay band is the same they can be appointed to the existing pay point.

Best Start Capital Programme Officer 
Number of positions: 1
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term until 31/10/2027
Location: Family Hub based, working across hub network sites
We are excited to invite applications for the newly established role of Best Start Capital Programme Officer as part of the development of our Best Start Family Hubs Programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the environments where families access support during the earliest years of their children's lives. Working as part of the Best Start Family Hubs Programme, the Best Start Capital Programme Officer will support the delivery of capital-funded improvements across Family Hub and Network Site locations, helping to create welcoming, accessible, inclusive and family-focused spaces for children aged 0-5 and their families.
The role will focus on coordinating a range of development activities, including refurbishment projects, accessibility improvements, environmental enhancements, branding implementation and site improvements. Working closely with Family Hub teams, Property Services, contractors and partners, you will help ensure capital developments are organised, monitored and delivered effectively in support of the Best Start vision.
Initially, the role will support the development of two identified Best Start Family Hubs before contributing to the wider enhancement and expansion of Family Hub and Network Site provision across the BCP area. This presents a unique opportunity to be involved in a significant programme of change that will help shape the future delivery of Family Hubs locally.
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills. You will have experience of supporting programmes, projects or service improvement activities, maintaining records and monitoring progress, and working collaboratively with a range of partners. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, building positive working relationships and supporting activity from planning through to implementation.
