Part-time, 12.97 hours, Monday – Tuesday

Salary: Main scale - £32,916 – 45,352 per annum

Actual Salary: £13,164 - £18,138 per annum pro rota

Fixed Term Until 31st August 2026

Commencing: April 2026

 

Oakdale Junior School is a large, purpose-built school which enjoys a hugely positive reputation within the community it serves. The school is a busy, thriving community with impressive facilities and a supportive senior leadership team. The school is part of Coastal Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust; a vibrant, collaborative Trust of twenty schools working together around shared goals, values and aspirations. 


 We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and skilled teacher to join our friendly school community. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach a small class of 21 children, where relationships are strong, wellbeing is prioritised and every child is truly known. If you are passionate about helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally, and you enjoy creating a calm, supportive learning environment, we would love to hear from you.

 

A suitable candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that support pupils to achieve their very best.
  • A nurturing approach and the ability to support pupils emotionally, helping them feel safe, confident and ready to learn in a small Year 3 class of 21 children (currently).
  • A passion for creating an inclusive, positive and calm classroom environment where every child feels valued, listened to and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to inspire enthusiasm, maintain high expectations, and build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, parents and external professionals.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continually grow and reflect as an educator.
