Job Introduction

ROLE:                                  Cleaner

SCHOOL:                             Hamworthy Primary Schools consisting of Twin Sails Infant School & Nursery and Hamworthy Park Junior School

HOURS:                              Permanent contract

                                            12.5 hrs per week 

                                            40 weeks per year (includes all 5 inset days plus 1 week)

                                            Monday to Friday - 3.30pm – 6.00pm

 

SALARY:                             Poole Grade B - SCP 2 £23,656 per annuum, pro rata.

                                            Actual Salary: £7,019.73 per annum (Hourly rate: £12.26)

CLOSING DATE:                 Midday – Thursday 24th October 2024

INTERVIEW DATE:            Week commencing 4th November 2024

START DATE:                     ASAP

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and organised Cleaner for our two schools. The successful candidate(s) will report to the Site Manager.  

We need you to play a vital part in the daily running of our amazing schools. If you have the relevant skills and experience this may be just the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

Twin Sails Infant School & Nursery and Hamworthy Park Junior School are part of the Hamworthy Primary schools Federation. Both schools are four-form entry and set in beautiful surroundings, overlooking Poole Bay. Twin Sails Infant School & Nursery and Hamworthy Park Junior School are part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).

HET is a large, fast-paced Trust with currently 35 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 community-based partnerships, there are 32 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school

JOB/PERSON SUMMARY:

We are looking for someone who takes great pride in their work, pays attention to detail and wants to provide a safe, well-maintained environment for all our children and staff to work in.  The ability to work systematically, identify issues and use initiative to solve problems is essential. 

 

WE ARE SEEKING A PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL WHO: 

  • Can deliver a consistently clean environment with excellent attention to detail within given timeframes.
  • Is reliable, punctual and willing to create a clean, bright, safe and secure environment.
  • Experience of working in a team and effectively liaising with colleagues and teaching staff
  • Willing to gain knowledge of Health and Safety (training will be provided)
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • A flexible ‘solution focused’ approach and attitude to work
  • Be approachable and a good team player
