Our Commercial Leisure Relations Officers operate from the front desk as the face of our facility, from welcoming customers to the centre to advising on products and services and completing administrative tasks.

Role Purpose

  • Provide excellent customer care to all those who interact with the centre 
  • Promote positive health and wellbeing in our community. 
  • Assisting customers in person, over the telephone and via email.
  • Handling queries regarding the centre, facilities, events and activities
  • Taking bookings and payments on the point of sale system
  • Assisting with general administration and maintaining good house keeping in Reception area.
  • Sales and Memberships on the CRM software


Main Responsibilities

The main responsibility of the Commercial Leisure Relations Officer is to provide a calm, professional and high quality front line customer services.

To carry out day to day administration to ensure the service is run as efficiently as possible. 

Ensure knowledge and understanding of products and services remains current.

Assist in the evacuation of the building in an emergency. Support during other emergencies such as First Aid incidents. First Aid training can be provided. 


The Ideal Candidate

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work in a busy and dynamic environment
  • IT Skills including Microsoft Office, Teams, Sharepoint and willingness to learn our CRM software.
  • The ability to work using own initiative
  • Experience in customer services would be desirable.
  • A Total of 19 contracted hours are available each week- this consists of 1x 4 hour 'mid' shift and 2x 7.5 hour 'full' shifts. Staff are not contracted to a specific shift but we typically follow a 2 week pattern to promote positive work/life balance. Team members are also welcome to take on additional casual shift as per availability which varies each week based on annual leave etc. 
  • The weekly rota consists of: 
    • Monday to Friday 07:00-15:00, 15:30-19:30 and 14:30-22:30
      Saturday 07:00-15:00, 08:30-12:30 and 13:30-21:30
      Sunday 07:30-15:30 and 13:45-20:45

  • The current regular shifts that are permanently available are as follows: 
    • Week 1- Monday 15:30-19:30, Tuesday 14:30-22:30, Friday 14:30-22:30
    • Week 2- Monday 15:30-19:30, Friday 14:30-22:30 Sunday 07:30-15:30
  • The current regular shifts that are temporarily available until 31 January 2024 are as follows: 
    • Week 1- Monday 07:00-15:00 and Thursday 14:30-22:30
    • Week 2- Tuesday 14:30-22:30 and Thursday 14:30-22:30
  • . Please do ensure that you are available for at least one shift per week on the above list. We are open to one or multiple post holders to fulfill these hours.
