Job Introduction
Role Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to join BCP Council, supporting the Equip for Living Partnership Manager in the oversight and business development of the Pan Dorset Equip for Living Service.
This service is a large-scale Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) delivering simple and complex aids to daily living that support such things as hospital discharge, admission avoidance, maintaining independence in the community, paediatric provision, and end of life care at home.
BCP Council are the lead commissioner of the Community Equipment Partnership that also includes Dorset Council and NHS Dorset. The Partnership links with operational teams across Health and Social Care.
Main Responsibilities
You will be working in partnership with our provider and other key stakeholders to ensure that the equipment service continues to provide a key facilitating role in supporting service users in the community. You will be actively involved in both facilitating and monitoring access to the service as well as key service development projects.
The Ideal Candidate
This post would suit someone with a good understanding of the health and adult social care sector, commissioning, and contracting practices, who has the confidence to engage with key stakeholders using a flexible, co-productive, problem-solving approach. Building strong relationships with our clinical prescribing community will be key element of the role. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office and particularly MS Excel would be an advantage although training will be available.
This is a permanent position based at the Civic Centre Bournemouth with the option of working flexibly at home. There will be a requirement to attend face to face meetings, as required, including meetings at our two service centres.
