Contact Officer - 3 posts - 12 month Fixed term contracts

Job Introduction

Contact Officer – Adult Social Care (ASC) Contact Centre 37 hours per week

Do you have the enthusiasm, drive and commitment to assist with the on-going transformation of Adult Social Care Contact Centre service to deliver a new and consistent BCP-wide model, and support the ongoing development of a strengths-based practice approach?

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of adults and their carers across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole?

We have 3 full time 12 month fixed term Contact Officer posts to join our busy team within the ASC Contact Centre, where Adult Social Care queries and referrals are received and processed, usually via telephone and email.

Our vision is:

The Adult Social Care Contact Centre is here for you when you or someone you know needs advice, information or support about how to get along day-to-day with a disability, illness or long-term condition.

We listen carefully to understand what matters most to you, help you through life’s events and difficulties, and find solutions so you can live as independently as possible; stay connected to your community; and keep in touch with family and friends.

You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal), advocating for adults to assist them in achieving their outcomes, develop confidence to have ‘strengths-based’ conversations, including signposting, providing information and advice as well as referring to appropriate Adult Social Care Services.

As such, this represents an ideal opportunity for a creative and confident person, with an interest in early intervention.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, be confident using telephone and computer recording systems and will have  knowledge or direct experience of working in an Adult Social Care or Health  Setting. If you are passionately committed to providing excellent services in this field, we look forward to receiving your application.

Please see the attached job description for further information.
