Crisis and Resilience Officer
Starting salary for this role is £32,061 (pro rata for part-time colleagues)
Fixed term post until 31 March 2029.

Role Purpose

Do you have recent experience of working with partners and project management? Are you passionate about supporting people out of crisis, preventing further crises and build their resilience? If yes, this could be the role for you.
This is a new role within the Community Initiatives Team being funded by the UK Government’s new Crisis and Resilience Fund.
It aims to provide both crisis support to households who encounter a ‘financial shock’, alongside services to build individual and community financial resilience, working together through a joined-up integrated welfare support network to connect individuals to the right service and support.

Main Responsibilities
- Work with a range of partners that together support the delivery of the UK government’s new Crisis and Resilience Fund. This includes arranging regular partnership meetings, including administrative duties.
- Initiate, coordinate and deliver new and existing initiatives and projects to help those in immediate crisis as well as build their longer term resilience.
- Project manage a holistic work programme for the Crisis and Resilience Fund.
- Work with the Communications team on a plan to raise awareness of support and share information with frontline workers, residents and other stakeholders.
- Support regular reporting and evaluation work, including data, outcomes, and feedback.
- Assist with creating and maintaining necessary administrative tasks.
- Be able to work independently as well as being an effective team player.
The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have or will be:-
- An enthusiastic team player who is also confident working independently
- Ability to use own initiative
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- Recent experience of partnership working.
- Ability to manage multiple demands and the breadth of the work programme effectively.
- Good knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office systems
- Organised and have attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge and an interest in public sector and voluntary and community sector.
- A flexible attitude to work.
- Able to travel to locations around the BCP Council area.
This is a full-time role, however 30-32 hrs per week could be considered for a suitable candidate.
