We offer part-time adult learning in over 30 venues all over the county and are seeking a Digital tutor to commence teaching in September 2024. You will help people get online for leisure and work purposes.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate in Education and Training or equivalent generic teaching qualification
- English and maths qualifications at grade 4/C or above
- At least 3 years' experience of teaching or delivering training
- Digitally literate
- Substantial experience and or Digital qualifications
Successful candidates:
- Will be expected to teach across Dorset
- Will need to be flexible and be able to teach evenings (Monday - Thursday and some Saturdays)
- May experience varied weekly working hours throughout the year
- May be asked to teach outside of term-time e.g., summer schools
- As part of your teaching case load, you may be asked to coach and mentor other staff as part of their ongoing CPD
In return:
- You will be a permanent salaried member of staff with no need to submit pay claims
- The annual salary and hours are based on a 44-week year, similar to a term time contract
- Weekly contact hours are between 8.8 and 10.5 (dependent on course type)
- Part of your contracted hours are ring-fenced to Planning and Preparation
- You will have an allowance from your contracted hours to attend Meetings
- You will have an allowance from your contracted hours to undertake Training and CPD
- Travel time (not commute) is taken from your contracted hours
- You will have your own Laptop
Tutors are expected to adhere to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers developed by the Education and Training Foundation.
