Employed or self-employed Personal Care Assistant required/8 hours per week /Bournemouth, BH9 (EM/MD)

Job Introduction

About the Role: 

 

A gentleman is requiring a personal care assistant. He’s funny, caring, and helpful. He enjoys making cups of tea and likes to do jobs when he is feeling well. 

He has Downs Syndrome, Hernia, Heart condition, Stoma and can be incontinent at times.

Due to having a huge parastomal hernia his mobility is more limited which he sometimes finds a struggle. 

He uses a rollator and can only walk short distances. He can tire very easily.

He can do things for himself and can navigate himself around town using buses. 

However, his hernia limits some of his skills. The gentleman is very friendly when feeling well but due to his medical conditions, and back pain, he can sometimes get frustrated.

The position is to support the individual with keeping his room clean, washing clothes, encourage his independence. With the support the individual will become more confidence to overcoming his difficulties. 

Hourly Rate – for an employed PA, £12.21 per hour and for a self-employed PA, please state rates on application.

 

Day & Times- Mondays for 4 hours flexible between 9am and 3pm, Tuesday 5 hours flexible between 9am and 3pm also opportunities to use these hours flexibly on Sundays if better suited.
