Job Title:                           HR Advisor (x two roles)

 

Place of Work:           This is a hybrid role that includes visiting schools across Portsmouth, Southampton, Poole and Dorset, travel to and from our Head Office in Nursling, Southampton and home working

 

Accountable to:              HR Business Partner

 

FTE:                                   37 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks per year)

 

Remuneration:                Grade 9/10 (FTE £39,186 to £48,474) + £40 per month essential car users allowance.  

                                           Actual salary for working 41 weeks (£35,569 to £45,397)

 

Start Date:                        As soon as possible

 

Closing Date:                   Friday 19 April 2024 – Midday (This may close early if we successfully appoint prior to this date)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two HR Advisors to join our experienced central HR team at Hamwic Education Trust (HET).

 

HET is a large, fast-paced Trust with currently 35 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 community-based partnerships, there are 32 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school.

 

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual to work with our HR Business Partners to support an allocation of our schools with all aspects of HR, particularly case work and employee relations. HR Advisors will be able to identify HR issues and provide advice and recommendations accordingly.  As a generalist HR advisor, you will provide an efficient and effective support to our schools and contribute to the HR team’s projects as well as being able to identify HR issues and provide advice and recommendations accordingly.

WE ARE SEEKING A PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL WHO: 

 

  • Is an HR professional with a proven track record, preferably with school experience 
  • Has strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Has been exposed to and supported with a broad range of ER casework
  • Has excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can work well under their own initiative, using time efficiently 
  • Can complete work to a high standard
  • Has the ability to have difficult conversations when required
  • Has experience of working with data and can interpret information
  • Is confident and flexible with a pragmatic ‘can-do’ approach to HR problem solving
