SALARY: Grade F12-17 (£26,421-28,770) Actual Salary £3,582-£3,901 (pay award pending)
Grade D5-6 (£23,500-£23,893 Actual Salary £6,372-£6,479 (pay award pending)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant & Teaching Assistant split role
to join our experienced team at Hillbourne Primary School, part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).
The role will consist of 1 day a week in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant role covering the teaching and
learning of the class and 3 mornings carrying out the role of Teaching Assistantsupporting the class teacher
in the educational activities in the classroom.
HET is a large, fast-paced Trust with currently 35 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 communitybased partnerships, there are 32 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school.

JOB/PERSON SUMMARY:
The role will involve:
• Covering the class teacher and leading the teaching the learning for 1 day a week in the absence
of the class teacher
• Supporting the class teacher with educational activities in the classroom
• Undertaking activities with either individual or groups of children ensuring their safety and
facilitating their physical, emotional and educational development
• Assisting teaching staff in the planning of the work programmes for individuals and groups of
children
