Housing Options Officer

12 month FTC available 

Want to help to help & support people to resolve their housing problems? 

We are looking for enthusiastic Housing Options Officers to join our dynamic & innovative team providing housing advice & support to residents with housing problems. Experience of working with people in an advice or problem-solving capacity is required and we will offer opportunities for training and professional development.

This role will challenge you every day to use your excellent customer service and problem-solving skills within a supportive and motivated team, helping people in often complex and difficult situations, including homelessness. 

This role involves working in an office, in the community and at home and requires face to face contact with customers.

If you can:

  • Communicate effectively, to really understand a customer’s needs and how to help to resolve their housing situation
  • Have a holistic approach to problem solving customer needs
  • Manage a caseload effectively within competing demands 
  • Collaborate with residents, other services and your colleagues & help them to find a lasting solution to their problem
  • Understand homelessness prevention and support, proactively working to prevent housing crisis.

Hybrid Working Opportunities and Flexible Working Available

 

Candidates shortlisted will be invited to a half day assessment event on 22nd January 2025, this will involve written and group exercises.
