HOURS: 0.8FTE (26 hours) 4 days per week

SALARY: Main Scale/UPS 0.8FTE (£31,650-£49084 FTE, £25,320-£39,267 0.8FTE equivalent)

                SENCO TLR £2,679-£5,284 FTE, £2,143-£4,227

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion Lead to join our experienced Leadership team at Hillbourne Primary School, part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).

HET is a large, fast-paced Trust with currently 37 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 community-based partnerships, there are 34 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school.

With brand new leadership and a brand new building, this is a unique opportunity to join the journey of a new chapter of Hillbourne Primary school. Exciting opportunities await in this stunning school in Broadstone, Poole. 

Having recently joined Hamwic Education Trust, Hillbourne Primary School has appointed a new head, who not only has 9 years of headship within the Trust but is working with a passionate and driven school team. JOB/PERSON SUMMARY:

The role will involve:

  •  As a member of the senior leadership team, determine the strategic development of Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operation and implementation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies
  • Ensure that policy and systems comply with the expectations of the SEN Code of Practice
  • Manage the development and implementation of plans for the delivery of Educational and Inclusion Support Services on a federation basis.
